Discretionary Management Services with a
difference ... The Barmac Way
Founded in 1997 and incorporated in 2006, Barmac Asset
Management is an independent, wholly owned boutique investment
house and therefore we have a vested interest in and are committed
to our business. Our directors have a combined investment
experience of over 50 years and have built strong relationships
with professional advisers across the UK. Barmac's noted investment
research is supplied to a number of City institutions and warned of
a global credit crunch as long back as 2001.
Barmac are safety conscious investment managers and believe that
investors are concerned not only about a return on their investment
but its safety. Our objective is to try to provide absolute returns
with low volatility using a risk averse investment strategy. The
strategy is delivered through a combination of our unique, in house
technical analysis, "The Barmac Indicator", together with a market
lead trailing stop loss system.
Barmac's distinctive investment approach has delivered returns
with an element of safety for our investors in highly volatile
markets, which is testament to our rigorous process.
Why use Discretionary Management?
At Barmac, we've recognised that the global stock market
turbulence over the last 10 years, combined with increased
regulation and a tightening Professional Indemnity insurance
market, has put increasing strains on IFAs to deliver the
investment service they would like to offer their clients.
Often IFAs are reticent in engaging the services of a
Discretionary Manager because of a perceived loss of control over
their clients which leads to less effective investor relationship.
We have analysed the problems associated with discretionary
management services and adopted a radical solution which helps the
IFA retain control both over their business and their client
relationships.
Why should you consider Barmac's Discretionary
Management Portfolio Service?
- Portfolios designed with input from IFA
firms in order to fit with the firm's and their clients'
ethos;
- Model portfolios designed to cover the
IFA's client bank and their clients' needs;
- Direct line of communication to Barmac's
directors not only to discuss portfolio construction, but also to
discuss the ongoing investment management of model portfolios and
client reporting;
- Reduced administration for the IFA in
terms of portfolio management and investment switching;
- Reduction of risk to the IFA in terms
compliance and investment accountability to the client;
- Highly competitive flat annual transaction
fee based on funds under management;
- Direct access to our OEIC, The Castleton
Growth Fund. The investment process for the Fund is based on our
distinctive in-house investment approach and since launch in 2006,
has achieved top quartile ranking over 1, 2 and 3
years;
- All client communication via the
IFA;
- The service is conducted in line with
established procedures which are subject to independent audit and
scrutiny;
